Timings and Entry Fees

The Taj Mahal remains open throughout the day for everyone. However, it is closed on Fridays and only the local people can visit to offer their prayers. The visiting tickets can be booked online as well as offline. Children below the age of 15 years can visit free of cost. Apart from them, the ticket costs Rs 50 for Indians, Rs 540 for SAARC & BIMSTEC citizens & Rs 1100 for others. Indian or foreigner, visiting the main mausoleum would cost everyone Rs 200. Also, there is a special night visit that is organized 5 times a month. However, the tickets for the same have to be booked well in advance (24 hours before the time slot). The night timings are 8:30 pm to 12:30 am. 400 people are allowed in 8 batches with each slot time being 30 minutes. The night visitors must reach the eastern gate of Shilpgram well in advance to pass the security check. At night, visitors are only allowed to view the Taj Mahal from a distance & video recording cannot be done.
